Thrifting: Downtown ATL

It's our last week in Atlanta so we decided to revisit a few of our favorite spots downtown. One thing we will miss about ATL is having hundreds of thrift stores at our fingertips.  Good Wills & other local donation centers are sprinkled everywhere. Thrifting is our favorite way to shop! The thing is, no one should spend their life savings trying to keep up with the trends. It's always changing and the clothes are just getting more and more pricey! It is so rare for us to buy anything at full price, because we truly believe as much as you love those $150+ pair of boots, you can find a $20 pair at a secondhand store that you would love just as much. ... In our case, we love it even more because nothing tastes as sweet as a good deal. Or thrifting isn't an option, at least wait for a sale, or find a coupon!  Thrifting is also a good way to experiment with your style. We love the challenge of finding the weirdest item and incorporating it into our wardrobe. Cheaper by the Dozen, a thrift store in Norcross, GA is one of our favorites. It has 50% storewide sales weekly. Good Will in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, & Norcross are all amazing. B&R thrift store in Sandy Springs is also a really cool shop, with an awesome furniture section! The part of downtown we went to this week is called Little 5 Points.  It has sweet street art lining every wall, and grungy hippies hanging out on the cement playing music.  It is home to two stores we fell in love with this summer, Rag-O-Rama & the Clothing Warehouse.  Rag-O-Rama is a second hand store where you can buy, sell, and trade your clothes.  It's not as cheap as Good Will but they do a good job of selecting trendy items and a wide variety of styles. But they have a SALE section, which we were unaware of until our last visit. The Clothing Warehouse is even a tad more than Rag-O-Rama, but this store is to die for.  They have the most amazing collection of clothes from every decade. Worth the price because every single vintage piece is SO unique. They have employees whose full time job is to search estate sales, yard sales, thrift stores, etc. to find the best of the best. Little 5 points is also where we found our favorite Mexican restaurant in GA, Tijuana Garage. This area is a must visit for anyone in Atlanta!
